Al-Taff University College Achieves Progress in the UI GreenMetric World University Ranking 2025

Al-Taff University College has achieved an advanced position within the UI GreenMetric World University Ranking for the year 2025. UI GreenMetric is one of the most important international rankings that evaluate higher education institutions based on six core criteria of campus sustainability, namely: infrastructure, energy and climate change, waste management, water management, transportation, and education & research. The 2025 edition of the ranking included 1,745 educational institutions from 105 countries, amid increasing global competition in adopting green university practices. The college ranked 30th among universities and colleges in Iraq, in addition to the 4th place among private higher education colleges in the Holy City of Karbala, and 12th among private higher education colleges in Iraq, in an achievement that reflects the development of its institutional performance and the effectiveness of its programs in the field of sustainability. This progress comes as a result of the college’s efforts in developing a sustainable university environment, improving resource consumption efficiency, and supporting education and scientific research related to environmental issues and sustainable development.
