Al-Taf University College, in cooperation with the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, holds a scientific symposium on malignant tumors and ways to prevent them. Under the patronage of the esteemed Dean of Al-Taf University College, Professor Dr. Karim Muzail Shabi, and under the supervision of the Student Activities Department, and based on the principle of cooperation between state institutions and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Al-Taf University College, in cooperation with the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine/Breast Tumor Center, held a scientific symposium entitled: (Malignant Tumors: Early Detection, Treatment Methods, and Prevention) on Saturday, October 25, 2025, in the Imam Hussein (p) Conference Hall at Al-Taf University College. A fully integrated medical team participated in the symposium, led by: Dr. Haider Muhammad Taher Dr. Qusay Muhammad Taher The symposium was moderated by Dr. Khaled Al-Khafaji, Head of the Student Activities Department. Dr. Qusay Muhammad Taher delivered a vital and comprehensive scientific lecture, addressing the main causes of malignant tumors in both sexes, as well as prevention and treatment methods. He also highlighted the latest scientific methods for early detection and diagnosis of tumors. The symposium witnessed broad interaction from the college's professors and students, who posed a series of questions and provided rich scientific contributions, reflecting their health awareness and academic excellence and underscoring the importance of these topics in promoting medical culture within the university community. This symposium aims to raise health awareness among members of society, especially women, and to encourage early screening as an effective means of preventing disease and reducing its complications. At the conclusion of the symposium, the Dean expressed his thanks and appreciation to the medical team, commending their scientific and humanitarian efforts in spreading health awareness. He also expressed his admiration for the distinguished academic level provided by Dr. Qusay Muhammad Tahir and his team, wishing them continued success and dedication in serving the community and public health.
